Oedema, oliguria due to renal failure, mild to moderate hypertension, barbiturate poisoning. Clinical selection for Torasemide or Torsemide should follow culture results where relevant, Kenya STG/EML recommendations, and the current product SmPC. Warnings
Pregnancy and lactation, impaired hepatic or / and renal functions, diabetes mellitus, gout, potassium depleting, steroid therapy. Precaution in Hepatic Diseases: Reduce the dose in case of impaired hepatic function Precautions in renal Diseases: No dose adjustment is required.
Possible side effects
GI disturbances, headache, fatigue, dizziness, blood dyscrasia, orthostatic hypotension, allergic reactions, hypokaleamia, hypomagnesia, hyponatreamia, hyperglycaemia, tinnitus, and deafness.
