Adenocarcinoma of the stomach and pancreas; bladder cancer. Warnings
It must be used only under constant supervision by physicians experienced in therapy with cytotoxic agents due to its low therapeutic index; increased incidence of infections.
Possible side effects
Bone marrow toxicity [most common and most serious adverse effect] manifested by thrombocytopenia, leukopenia and anaemia; cellulitis at the injection site; stomatitis; alopecia; necrosis and consequent sloughing of tissue in case extravasation; pulmonary toxicity; haemolytic ureamic syndrome; fever; anorexia; nausea and vomiting.
