What it is used for
Prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia, pre and post natal nourishment, folic acid deficiency anemia, hemorrhagic, anaemia of blood loss, poor nutrition status, and anti-leprotic drug therapy.
Warnings
Treat confirmed deficiency with monitored repletion. Avoid megadoses without indication. Iron: keep away from children (overdose lethal).
Possible side effects
GI upset (iron, high-dose vitamin C). Hypercalcaemia (vitamin D excess). Neuropathy with B6 megadoses. Flushing (niacin).
Storage
Store as labelled. Keep out of reach of children.
